657 - An original hand drawn production drawing, here a douga, from the Anime series Naruto. Featuring Hinata. Made with graphite pencil and color pencils on animation paper. Slight handling wear from production. The douga is an original animation production drawing. Until the early 2000s, dougas were the penultimate stage of production carried out by hand, just before painting celluloid (cellulo, cel). Since then, douga has become the last stage of production drawn on physical media, before digital painting of the scenes.
Each original anime production drawing that we sell, was drawn during the production of the anime, by one of the animators working for the Japanese studio responsible for producing the anime.
