Thomas LEGRAIN

Original comic art by Belgian comic book artist Thomas Legrain.

Born in Sambreville in 1981, the Belgian illustrator Thomas Legrain created his first comic strip at the age of twelve. Completely self-taught, his work was influenced by Rosinski, Vance, Francq, Jigounov, Yukito Kishiro and Travis Charest.

After having drawn the trilogy Mortelle Riviera (Riviera of Death) for Glénat, and the series L’Agence (The Agency) for Casterman, he joined publishing house Le Lombard. With a script by Benec, he created the character Sisco in 2010 and this political thriller let him indulge in his passion for realistic illustration.

In 2015, concurrently with his work on Sisco, he produced the one-shot Bagdad Inc., a techno-thriller scripted by Stephen Desberg, as well as the historic trilogy The Regiment, with Vincent Brugeas, from 2017 to 2019. He was awarded The Atomium Prize by the City of Brussels for the eleventh volume of the Sisco series in 2020.

In January 2021 he published the twelfth and last volume in the Sisco series. in 2023, Thomas Legrain released Latah, a supernatural Vietnam war story.
