The army is preparing to attack Akira, and the soldiers discover the face of George Yamada, leader of the reconnaissance squadron, who will be their contact in Neo-Tokyo.
The Akira manga color guides were first published by Epic Comics, starting in 1988, for the American edition. The Akira (アキラ) manga was created by mangaka Katsuhiro Otomo (大友 克洋). These color guides were subsequently used for all Western publications.
