While searching for Kay, Kaneda confronts one of Akira's henchmen in the Colonel's hideout. The Colonel himself can be seen in the first panel on page 9.
The Akira manga color guides were first published by Epic Comics, starting in 1988, for the American edition. The Akira (アキラ) manga was created by mangaka Katsuhiro Otomo (大友 克洋). These color guides were subsequently used for all Western publications.
Mixed media (gouache, color pencils, …) on a printed copy of Katsuhiro Otomo’s original comic art.
