Used in the making of an episode of the anime TV series. Produced by Toei Animation from 1978 to 1981, based on the Galaxy Express 999 (銀河鉄道999, Ginga Tetsudō 999) manga by mangaka Leiji Matsumoto (松本零士).

Created after the layout, the genga is an original Japanese animation production drawing representing a key pose from a sequence. The genga is drawn by one of the anime's chief animators. Done in graphite pencil and colored pencils on animation paper.
