Used in the making of an episode of the anime TV series. Produced by Toei Animation from 1978 to 1981, based on the Galaxy Express 999 (銀河鉄道999, Ginga Tetsudō 999) manga by mangaka Leiji Matsumoto (松本零士).
A production cel is a transparent plastic sheet made of cellulose acetate. Similar in size to the douga (doga), the celluloid is hand-painted on the reverse side with gouache.
Slight handling wear from production. The corresponding douga is glued to the back of the celluloid through the gouache. There are rubbing marks and slight paint loss.
