Captain Future is a pulp science fiction hero, created in 1940 by American writer Edmond Hamilton. In 1978, one year after Hamilton’s death, Japanese company Toei Animation produced a Captain Future anime television series of 53 episodes, based on thirteen of the stories.

Takuo Noda was both character designer and animation director of the Captain Future animation series.
